Fitting the CO2 Absorber on the
Compact Breathing System
z Fill the absorber with fresh CO2 absorbent.
z Dräger recommends the use of
Drägersorb 800 Plus or Drägersorb FREE. For
detailed information on filling and installing the
reusable absorber, see page 189.
1 Fit the absorber canister into position below the
breathing system and turn it counterclockwise
as far as possible.
CAUTION
Risk of unintended perioperative awareness
Make sure that during ventilation the absorber
canister is tightly connected to the COSY.
NOTE
Ensure that no CO2 absorbent dust/particles have
been deposited between the gaskets and sealing
surfaces. Such dust and particles can cause leaks
in the system.
