2.1 General safety advice
DANGER!
If you believe that the system can no longer be operated safely, the system
must be taken out of service immediately and secured so that it cannot be
used inadvertently
.
This is the case if the system or system components:
– show visible damage,
–
no longer appear functional,
– has/have had prolonged periods of storage under unfavourable conditions
(perform functional check).
The following regulations must always be observed when handling the
system:
– Any work on the system or system components as well as the operation
of the system may only be carried out by trained and authorised specialist
personnel.
–
Prior to carrying out any work on electric parts, switch off the power supply
and secure the system against being switched back on again.
– Safety regulations and prescribed protective clothing when handling
chemicals should be followed.
– Attention must be paid to the information included on the product data
sheet of the metering medium used.
– The system must only be operated with the supply and control voltage
specified in the Technical Data section.
– The local accident-prevention regulations and general safety instructions
also apply to the area of application.
2.2 Specific safety information
n This equipment may be operated only in accordance with the electrical specifications
listed on the rating plate.
n Use only standards-compliant cables.
n Use only Ecolab-approved controllers, (for example, "MyControl"), in order to disable
the system immediately in the event of a fault.
n The UL
TRAX Compact metering system is a wall-mounted unit.
n Do not store any objects on the rack.
n The system may be operated only with a splash guard in place.
