3 Delivery, transport and packaging
3.1 Delivery
Prior to starting the delivery
, a message is sent out on the scope of delivery.
The message on the scope of delivery contains details on :
n the delivery deadline
n number and type of transport units
Systems and machinery are carefully tested and packaged prior to despatch,
but the possibility of damages occurring during shipment should not be ruled
out.
3.1.1 Delivery (also for spare parts and replacement parts) and returns

Receiving inspection :
n Check the completeness using the delivery note.
In the event of damage :
n Check the items supplied for any damage (visual inspection).
In the event of complaints (e.g. shipping damage) :
n Immediately contact the most recent shipper.
n Preserve the packaging
(for the purpose of possible checking by the shipper or for return shipment).
Packaging for return shipment :
n Use if possible the original packaging and the original packaging material.
– In the event that neither of these are any longer available:
Make use of a packaging company with specialist personnel.
– Place the transport units on a pallet
(it must be designed to bear the weight).

Should any questions arise on the packaging and shipping insurance please check
these out with the manufacturer.
Packaging for shipment by truck :
n When being shipped by truck the machinery or the items to be shipped are to be
placed, supported and secured with lifting tackle.
