2.5 Shutdown procedures
The shut-down procedure described below must be strictly observed prior to
cleaning, maintenance or repair work by authorised technical personnel:
1. Empty the system.
2. Switch off power supply to the equipment:
Switch the power disconnect device (master switch) on the control cabinet to "0".

Secure the master switch to prevent unauthorised re-activation.
For maintenance and repair works:
DANGER!
Make sure there is no voltage present.
If necessary, the machine/system must be short-circuited
, and neighbouring live parts must be covered and bypassed.
3. Disconnect the supply with metering medium:
Close shut-off valves.
Check that the water supply lines are closed.
Secure the shut-of
f cocks against reopening.
DANGER!
Make sure to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) properly
according to the safety data sheet for the chemicals being metered.
DANGER!
Make sure that the chemicals used cannot leak and remove any metering
medium spills correctly according to the instructions in the safety data
sheet and dispose of them as specified there.
