The ULTRAX Compact metering system manufactured and delivered by Ecolab
Engineering complies with the EC Directive applicable in Europe. The product therefore
meets the European standard for health and safety
.
The metering system is state-of-the-art on delivery
. In order to be eligible for complete CE
marking, some requirements apply to installing and using this system.
To help you meet these requirements, they are summarised in an installation checklist in
the Annex to these Operating Instructions.
Please work through the installation check list provided in the following chapter with
your Ecolab technician and your Ecolab field service contact. Please document the fact
that you have accepted the delivery by signing both of the attached checklists. The
second copy/version shall be kept on file for you in the documents file at Ecolab. This
guarantees that your installation data are easily accessible at any time, and, in the event
of a complaint, ensures that the process cycle for handling your complaint flows smoothly.
7.1 Safety instructions concerning installation
The following safety instructions must be followed without exception. Failure to follow
them properly can lead to accidents, injury or damage to the unit.
The owner/operator is responsible for properly instructing and training employees who will
be servicing the equipment or who will be changing the chemicals.
n This equipment must only be operated in accordance with the electrical specifications
listed on the rating plate.
n Use only standards-compliant cables.
n Prior to opening the terminal box, disconnect the system from the mains power supply
,
secure it from being switched back on again and label the system accordingly.
n Use only Ecolab-approved controllers, (for example, "MyControl"), in order to disable
the system immediately in the event of a fault.
n The UL
TRAX Compact metering system is a wall-mounted unit:
– The wall area must be prepared accordingly for wall-mounting.
– Choose a wall which is flat, stable and sufficiently strong.
– Use suitable dowels for wall mounting.
– Check the mounted bracket to ensure that it is secure.
n Do not store any objects on the rack.
n The system may be operated only with a splash guard in place.
