2.8 Independent modification and spare parts manufacture
CAUTION!
The system can only be converted using approved Ecolab upgrade kits. No
other modifications to the system are permitted under any circumstances.
Independent modifications or changes are only permitted after consultation and
with the consent of the manufacturer.
OE spare parts and accessories authorised by the manufacturer are in the
interests of safety
. If other parts are used, this invalidates liability for any
resulting consequences.
Please note that existing CE conformity will be rendered invalid by any
modifications.
2.9 Metering media
CAUTION!
Use of metering media:
– The metering system may only be used with products that have been
validated by Ecolab.
–
The materials/media to be deployed for the intended use of the machine
are to be procured and used by the owner/operator of the machine.
– Correct handling of these materials/media and the risks involved are the
sole responsibility of the owner/operator.
– Hazard warnings and disposal instructions must be provided by the owner/
operator.
– When dealing with the metering medium, always use suitable protective
clothing (see the material safety data sheet for the metering medium).
– All safety regulations for the handling of chemicals must be maintained and
the information contained in the material safety data sheet/product data
sheet of the metering medium must be observed.
Liability is not accepted if invalidated products are used!
NOTICE!
The details on the metering medium safety sheet must be strictly
observed; operating personnel must be trained accordingly (training must be
documented)!
2.10 Safety data sheets
The safety data sheet is primarily intended for the user so that they can take any steps
necessary for safeguarding their health and safety at work.
Ecolab is well aware of the importance of safety data sheets and the responsibility that
they entail. The safety data sheets that Ecolab provides are subject to constant control
and revision. Doing this guarantees that the most up-to-date information is available at all
times.
