10.4 Maintenance of TCD turbo pump
CAUTION!
Do not open the pump head since there a risk of injury from the internal
tensioned spring.
Maintenance interval: At least once every 3 months.
Install the metering valves in the correct position, see:
Ä Chapter
10.3.1.3 ‘Install the metering valves in the correct position’ on page 70
The following inspections are recommended:
n Suction tubes and pressure tubes for leak-free connections
n Suction valve and pressure valve for dirt and lead tightness
n Correct metering
n Pump head screws (securely seated, 4 Nm).
CAUTION!
Also refer to the operating instructions for the pump:

10.4.1 Replacing suction / pressure valves
1. Remove suction and pressure valve using an open-end spanner (SW 27)
2. Fit all O-rings.
3. Screw in the new suction and pressure valves in the correct position (2–3 Nm).
