8.1 Requirements for operation
The ULTRAX Compact metering system may be operated only using the “MyControl”
control unit adapted for the unit or using a control unit approved by Ecolab. For details
about operating and connecting the control unit, use the documentation enclosed with the
control unit.
The device must be visually inspected at regular intervals to identify leaking components
at an early stage and thus avoid more serious damage.
Particular attention should be paid to the sump.
If there is any product or water in the sump, this indicates that there is a leak. The cause
of the fault must be found, rectified, and then the sump must be thoroughly cleaned For
this purpose, a union nut can be unscrewed from the left underside of the sump, and the
sump can be flushed out using a suitable collecting basin (bucket or the like).
A functional system partition preventing the backflow of wastewater into the drinking water
system is also a prerequisite for regular operation.
The device may only be operated with the included splash guards in place. Operation
without splash guards is prohibited. After completing maintenance work, re-install the
splash guard file and check for integrity
.
8.2 Calibration
To calibrate the metering volume, the product can be metered into
a measuring vessel (no. 2) by actuating the corresponding 3/2 way
valve (no. 1); then measure or weigh the volume removed.
In this case, place the measuring vessel (size about 1–2 litres) on the
sump (no. 3) below the 3/2 way valve.
