4.2.2 Top Cover Assembly

4.2.2.1 Removal

2. Remove the Fuser Full Cover. (See “Fuser Full Cover” on

3. Disconnect J204 from the Fuser Fan.
4. Remove the two screws securin

ht side of the Top Cover

5. Carefully lift the Top Cover a few inches off of the printer frame.
6. Disconnect the J417 from the Control Panel, and lift the Top Cover
Assembly off of the printer frame.
4.2.2.2 Installation
1. Unplu
g
the AC Power Cord from the rear of the printer.
2. Reconnect J417 to the Control Panel.
3. Reinstall the Top Cover Assembly onto the printer frame.
4. Make sure the screw holes at the ri
g
ht side of the Top Cover line up
with the screw holes in the printer frame, and the left end of the
Cover is under the Exit Chute Pinch Rolls.
5. Use two screws to secure the Top Cover Assembly to the Ri
g
ht
Cover.
6. REconnect J204 to the Fuser Fan.
7. Reinstall the Fuser Full Cover. (See “Fuser Full Cover” on
pa
g
e -138)
W ARNING
Do not reinstall the Top Cover while the AC power
Cord is connected to the printer. While reinstalling
the Top Cover you may accidently switch on the Main
Power Switch.
