4.2.47.1 Removal
1. Remove the Rear Cover. (“Rear Cover Assembly” on pa

e -140)
2. Disconnect P/J127 from the MCU PWB.
3. Open the Left Upper Cover.
4. Remove the EP Cartrid
g
e.(“EP Cartrid
g
e (Toner Cartrid
g
e)” on

5. Use the flat blade of a screwdriver to pry up the front end of the
Toner Sensor (refer to the fi
g
ure below).
6. When the front end is freed, remove the Sensor alon
g
with the
attached wire harness.

4.2.47.2 Installation
1. Reinstall the Toner Sensor and attached sprin

for correct positionin

).
2. Route the attached wire harness alon
g
the channel and throu
g
h the
small openin
g
in the rear of the frame.
3. Press the Toner Sensor into the cutout in the bottom of the EP
Cartrid
g
e cavity.
4. Press and release the Toner Sensor to make sure it has a sprin
g
-
action return.
5. Reconnect P/J127 to the MCU PWB.
6. Reinstall the Rear Cover. (“Rear Cover Assembly” on pa
g
e -140)
7. Reinstall the EP Cartrid
g
e. (“EP Cartrid
g

e)” on

8. Close the Left Upper Cover.
