7. DISASSEMBLY AND ADJUSTMENT
7.3.3 Adjusting the Pen Arm Slider Shaft
Adjust the pen arm slider shaft when there is a bad movement of the slider shaft.
(1) When a force of 60 gf is applied by a push-pull gauge, the slide arm should lower smoothly to its lowest
position.
If it does not lower smoothly, the pre-pressure of the 692ZZ bearing against the guide shaft may be too
high. Also check for foreign matter on the parts concerned.
When the slide arm is pressed down by hand, it should lower smoothly.
(2) Perform the adjustment below.
Loosen the M2 setscrews.
Turn the offset pins to adjust the 692ZZ bearings to the position where there is no gap.
Secure with the M2 set-screws.

(3) Checking the guide shaft and bearing adjustment.
Raise or lower the guide shaft of the slide arm and conrm that the 692ZZ bearing rotates smoothly.
If there is still play, there may be play between the guide shaft and 692ZZ bearing of the slide arm.
Replace the pen block assembly.
