Generator Failure
( VOLTAGE LOW and/or GEN FAIL annunciations shown on PFD)
1. Generator and Alternator Switches
.............................................. CHECK ON
2. Engine Gauges
...............................................................CHECK GEN AMPS
• Check GEN AMPS to determine if generator is off line (0 amps
displayed).
IF GEN AMPS DISPLAYS ZERO:
3. Generator Switch
................................................................... OFF, THEN ON
4. If the generator output remains at zero:
• Generator Switch ............................................................................. OFF
• Electrical Load .......... REDUCE LOAD to less than 40 amps as follows:
a. AVN Bus Switch
............................................................................OFF
b. Environmental Control System
..................................................... OFF
c. AUX BUS Switch
..........................................................................OFF
d. Flashing Beacon
...........................................................................OFF
e. Strobe Lights
................................................................................OFF
f. All Ice Prevention Equipment (if equipped)
..........OFF if non-essential
5. Flight
............... CONTINUE with caution and discretion to destination airport
Alternator Failure

................................................................ CHECK ALT AMPS
• Check ALT AMPS to determine if the alternator is off line (0 amps
displayed).
IF ALT AMPS DISPLAYS ZERO:
3. Alternator Switch.................................................................... OFF, THEN ON
4. If the alternator output remains at zero:
• Alternator Switch..............................................................................OFF
• Generator Load........................... REDUCE TO LESS THAN 300 AMPS
5. Flight
............... CONTINUE with caution and discretion to destination airport
NOTE: The generator will carry the entire electrical load with the
alternator off line.
