List of Parameters
The following table describes the instrument parameters. Availability of some parameters
depends on the options installed. See the comments in the "Notes" column of the table.
Parameter Description Definition Notes
100BT Fall Fall time between 2 levels (upper-
base, base-lower) of a 3-level
signal (100BT)
Available with ENET option.
100BT Rise Rise time between 2 levels (Lower-
base, base-upper) of a 3-level
signal (100BT)
Available with ENET option.
100BT TIE Difference between the measured
and ideal times at level between
base and upper orlower levels of
100BT signal.
Available with ENET option.
100BT Tj Total jitter from a TIE at level
between base and upper or lower
levels of 100BTsignal.
Available with ENET option.
ACSN Auto-correlation Signal-to-Noise
provides a signal-to-noise ratio for
periodic waveforms.
Available with DDM2 option.
Standard in DDA-5005A.
AltNCycle Alternate N-Cycle Plot. Timing of
the transitions in the data
waveform is measured for each
transition and plotted as a function
of the number of unit intervals over
which the timing is measured. The
N-cycle plot displays the mean or
standard deviation of the edge
placement in the waveform relative
to each other (data to data) or to a
reference clock (clock to data).
Available with ASDA option.
Amplitude Measures the difference between
upper and lower levels in two-level
signals. Differs from pkpk in that
noise, overshoot, undershoot, and
ringing do not affect the
measurement.
top - base On signals not having two
major levels (such as triangle
or saw-tooth waves), returns
same value as pkpk.
Standard parameter.
Ampl asym Amplitude asymmetry between
taa+ and taa-
1 |(taa+ - taa-)|/(taa+
- taa-)
Hysteresis argument used to
discriminate levels from noise
in data.
Available with DDM2 option.
Standard in DDA-5005A.
