Malfunction Cause Solution
Steering wheel hard to
turn, grating noises when
steering
Lamps can light up
Oil level in the hydraulic oil
tank too low
Check the hydraulic
oil level;
à Maintenance manual.
Then drive at low speed to
the nearest repair shop and
have the cause checked
One of the lamps lights up Steering circuit has failed,
e. g. pump faulty
Stop and perform required
inspections;

Lights up (yellow) Steering malfunction Driving possible – observe
the subsequent informa-
tion for the next stop;
