7 Visual Transient Elastography
ViTE is available for liver only.
• It is provided for reference, not for confirming a diagnosis.
• Elastography Imaging is an advanced imaging mode. It is used for
providing hardness information of lesions, which can be used for clinical
reference. Elastography Imaging should be combined with other imaging
modes for diagnosis reference.
After ViTE feature is enabled in 2D real-time mode, the hardness of the hepatic tissue can be
determined by the image color or brightness. Besides, tissue hardness can be quantified by
measuring the elasticity value of hepatic tissue.
Select the proper probe before image acquisition. For details, see “15.1 Probes”.
7.1 Acquisition Preparation
Before the exam, make sure the patient is fasting, and lies in a supine position with the right arm
raised.
