5 - 4 V Series Operating Instructions
5.1.4 Changing VDI Modes
Currently, the VDI module interfaces with the Edwards Vigilance, Vigilance II, Vigileo, and EV1000
monitors, the Covidien INVOS 5100C monitor, the Gas Module 3, and with DIAP (Datascope Improved
ASCII Protocol). Before using any of these external devices the VDI module must be properly
configured.

1. Select the icon in the upper right corner of the Main Screen to open the Module Status
dialog (as shown in FIGURE 5-2).
2. If needed, select the Integrated V Hub or V Hub x (x represents the V Hub number) tab to find
the needed module.
3. Select the arrow icon on the VDI module to display a list menu.
4. Select the desired mode (as shown in FIGURE 5-2).
5. Select the Cancel or Accept button.
•The Cancel button closes the dialog without saving the settings.
•The Accept button saves the settings and closes the dialog.
