17.1 Introduction
This chapter describes the CO
2
parameter in detail, including monitoring CO
2
, configuring alarm
limits, and configuring the CO
2
parameter.
The V 12/V 21 displays the ET CO
2
numeric, the Insp CO
2
numerics, and the CO
2
waveform when the
CO
2
is being measured.
Patient Sizes
Intended patient types: Adult, Pediatric, Neonate.
CO
2
Module Connector
The VPS module does not include the CO
2
parameter. The CO
2
parameter is available as a separate
module (as shown in FIGURE 17-1). Refer to "Taking a CO2 Measurement" on page 17-6 for additional
information.

Display Setup
To see the CO

values, CO
