4 - 2 V Series Operating Instructions
4.1 Introduction
This chapter describes the docking and undocking the V 12, battery installation, module installation,
the V Hub, and V Dock mounting.
4.2 V 12
4.2.1 V 12 Docking
NOTE: When the V 12 is attached to the V Dock and operating on batteries, it
does not communicate with the central station.
1. Hold the V 12 by the side grips, or top handle, and vertically lower it onto the top of the V Dock,
so that the alignment pins on the bottom of the V 12 engage with the alignment channel on
the top of the V Dock.
2. Push the V 12 backward onto the V Dock (shown in FIGURE 4-1), until the front latching bar
moves upward, with a corresponding audible click.

OR
1. Reposition your hands so that your thumbs or palms press against the front surface of the V 12,
near the lower corners, and other fingers grip around the protrusions on the side of the V Dock.
2. Squeeze your grip so that the V 12 moves backward onto the V Dock (shown in FIGURE 4-2),
until the front latching bar moves upward, with a corresponding audible click.
