The parameters are divided into five sections:
DUMMYPRINTER : The DUMMYPRINTER section shows printer parameters which are
used for the internal printer simulator.
LI: The ”Logical Interface” is the interface between PRISMAproduction
Spool and the Print Server (PS).
PSINFO: The PSINFO control block contains the static and PRSIMAproduction
USER changeable parameters for the connection to the printer.
PDSINFO: The PDSINFO control block contains all information necessary to pro-
cess a primary data stream.
PRTINFO: The PRTINFO control block contains some dynamic fields which may
change as the print process takes place.
Each time the printer is started in the “Printer Administrator” window, all these parameters
are stored in /u/prismapro/cfg/printers/<Printer name>/backend.ini.
<Printer name> means the name of the logical printer in the Printer Administrator Window.
The section ca be selected in the combobox on the right side of the toolbar.
Other toolbar entries are used for navigation inside the parameter list.
The 'search' text field offes a possibility for finding a certain row quickly.
The area next to the Key-Value list displays the default value and a short description for the
selected keyword.
FTP-Backend
For the FTP backend you can only configure the LI section with similar parameters as for
the SPS backend.

DocuTech Backend
A backend / driver, specially designed for the DocuTech, is available in V3.02 to drive a Do-
cuTech 6180/6135. This backend is organised basically like other backends (ftp-backend,
Postscript-backend). It is the task of the DocuTech-backends to print a POD-AFP data
stream on a DocuTech and convert all relevant information of the PRISMA Job-Ticket to a
Xerox-Job-Ticket. E.g. plex modi, used input media, post-processing information etc.
