VarioPrint 2090-, VarioPrint_2105 and VarioPrint 31xx-Backend
A backend / driver, specially designed for the VarioPrint family, is available in V3.02 to drive
a VarioPrint 2090/2105/31xx. This backend is organised basically like other backends (ftp-
backend). It is the task of the VarioPrint-backends to print a POD-AFP data stream on a
VarioPrint xx and to convert all relevant information of the PRISMA Job-Ticket to a Vario-
Print-Job-Ticket (Océ-Job-Ticket OJT).
The AFP data stream will be converted into Postscript and the generated Océ-Job-Ticket
is integrated into the Postscript file. This file will be transferred to the VarioPrint printer via
LPR command.
Set Up of Backend:
Create a new PRISMA printer with the Océ Postscript driver.
In the ’General’ tab set the IP-address of the Host and the name of the "lp" print queue, in
which the backend is to print it’s data. Commonly you use ’STANDARD’ for both parame-
ters.
The backend is ready-to-print after set up of IP-address and name of remote queue.
Note: For details concerning the print parameters see PRISMAproduction Administrator
Guide.
