5.14.3 Maintenance of scanner PCB by using the Maintenance Utilities
The four types of maintenance are possible when maintaining the scanner PCB. The Maintenance Utilities are used only when replacing the scanner PCB.

Most of the MFP setup information are
maintained in the CU side. The information
such as time setting is required by the MFP

Because PCB is not replaced, the setup
values are maintained.
When RADF is installed, the ADF registration
adjustment should be performed.

Scanner main PCB is
defective
The data within the scanner PCB should be
loaded using “Maintenance Utilities”.

Regarding the data that can be saved
and re-written, refer to item “2. List of data
stored in the scanner side.”

Precaution
Refer to 3. “Precautions when writing scanner
data using Maintenance Utilities”.
4 MFP
replacement
MFP is defective. Perform the cloning jobs such as abbrev. dial
by using the MST where most of the MFP
setup information is maintained in the CU
side.
MFP Setup is required such as time setting.
(Check the MFP Setup list.)
