5.13 Maintenance utilities
Adjustments shown in Table 5-2 can be performed by the maintenance utilities. Details of the
maintenance utilities are described below.

Copying the EEPROM of PU PCB
Adjustment purpose: Above data is copied
to another PCB when the PU PCB is going
to be replaced by other PU PCB due to
maintenance replacement.

is prohibited.
2 PU serial
number
setting
Rewriting the MFP serial number saved in
PU
Adjustment purpose: If copying of EEPROM
data of the PU PCB is impossible (due to I/F
error, etc.,), above setting is made on the
maintenance replacement PCB.

is prohibited.
3 Factory/
Shipping
mode
Factory mode or Shipping mode switching
Adjustment purpose: If copying of EEPROM
data of the PU PCB is impossible (due to
I/F error, etc.,), above setting is made on
the maintenance replacement PCB. Default
setup of the maintenance replacement PCB
remains in the Factory mode in most cases,
the Shipping mode should be set by using
this function.
