1.1.4 Copy/Paste
Copying certain audio settings across the console is made very fast and easy:
There is a set of global channel processing keys in the center of the desk.
• Selectthesourcechannel.
• Setthedesiredprocessingparameters.
• Presstherelevant copy/paste key next to the processing block concerned
to copy the source data into the clipboard.
• Selectthetargetchannel(s).Asinglechannelmaybeselectedbytouch-
ing the relevant Vistonics icon or pressing the LINK/SEL key. Pressing and
holding the LINK/SEL key and then pressing additional LINK/SEL keys will
create a link group.
• Presstherelevant copy/paste key will paste the parameter data from
the clipboard into the selected channel(s).
There is also a special A (copy/paste all) key for copying a whole channel
including bus assignment. The undo/redo key comes in handy to undo the
last paste or clear function on each channel separately. Pressing this key after
an undo operation again will redo the last copy.
Note The undo/redo key can be used momentarily (long press) in order to com-
pare settings on a channel:
1 Press the copy/paste key twice in order to ‘memorize’ the current setting
(i.e., by pasting it to itself)
2 Adjust the audio function to an alternative setting
3 Press undo/redo multiple times (either short or long) in order to compare
the two settings.
Half-Lit Keys Whenever the console is waiting for a key press in order to finish a function,
it will illuminate all possible keys by half. This is a guide for the user – so
he can select one of these keys, or reverse the function by pressing the first
(fully lit) key again. A timeout applies if none of the half-lit keys are pressed
within a given time frame. Timeout duration is adjustable in the ‘Vista Desk
Settings’ menu on the GC.
Examples:
LINK ALL > LINK/SEL,
Setup of control groups, etc.
