SYNCMDE (Sync Mode)
Clock Card Firmware prior to 4236B
This keyword controls how the input channel is chosen as a synchronization source.
The keyword format is:
SYNCMDE=<value>

Note: The behavior associated with this keyword has changed as of
Clock card firmware version 4236B or later. You can view the
firmware version with command RTRV-NETYPE-ALL.
Two descriptions are provided in the following: one for firmware
versions prior to 4236B and one for firmware version 4236B and later.
Parameter Value Description
<value> AUTO The input channel is chosen based on the given priorities
among the available channels. Channel availability is set by
measurements on the channel and by the channel enabled.
MANUAL The input channel is chosen based on manual selection
unless the given input is disqualified, in which case it goes
into automatic mode.
SSM The input channel is chosen based on the SSM algorithm,
which combines the measurements and qualifying
conditions with the quality levels for each channel; the
highest priority amongst the qualified input channels is
chosen.
FORCED The input channel is chosen based on manual selection
unless the given input is disqualified, in which case it goes
into holdover.
