Performance Monitoring
Overview
150 TimeHub 5500 TL1 Reference Guide 097-55501-02 Issue 7 – January, 2005
Overview
The TimeHub 5500 continuously makes phase deviation measurements on each
input reference. Network performance parameters based on these measurements
are computed and updated periodically.
Depending on the type of measurement, the time periods are either averaging time
or observation time and are performed either on a single input port or across all
enabled input ports.
You can display measurement properties to see the currently active measurement
criteria for an input port, or to determine how specified measurement results affect
system operation.
Measurements
Performance monitoring measurement types are listed on the following pages. After
the measurement name, a definition is given. The definition is followed by the actual
command that can be used to display the measurement.
The response format shows how the response appears. Command and response
examples are shown where applicable.
Fractional Frequency Offset
This measurement is displayed in parts-per-million (ppm) and measures an input
port’s Fractional Frequency Offset (FFOFF) at specific averaging time intervals. The
command format is:
RTRV-PM[-TSG]:[<tid>]:CLK-a:<ctag>::FFOFF;
Response Format:
<sid> <date> <time>
M <ctag> COMPLD
"CLK a-b:FFOF-a,<monval>,<status>"...
;
The parameters listed below are displayed in the response.
Parameter Value Description
CLK-a a = 0 to 4 Input port number of active Clock card 555xx-01 (5 input)
a = 0 to 8 Input port number of active Clock card 555xx-02 (9 input)
