Commands
Command Structure
The command in this example displays squelch information about output channel 3
on Output card A in shelf 2 (some parameters are optional):
Format Example:
ED-DAT:[<tid>]::<ctag>::<date><time>;
Command Example:
ED-DAT:::SC001::04-8-27,10-3-29;
The command in this example sets the date to August 27, 2004 and the time to
10:03:29 a.m.
See Table 2-1 for an explanation of parameters and values. Parameters and values
for each command are listed in Chapter 2, Commands and keywords are listed in
Chapter 3, Keywords.
The following symbols are used in the input and response messages:
[ ] encloses an optional parameter
{ } encloses a group of parameters, at least one of which must be entered
| separates alternatives in a group of parameters, at least one of which must
be entered
^ indicates a space (used in the description of the response format, but not
used in the command responses)
ā separates command code fields
: separates parameter blocks
, separates parameters within a block
; terminates a command and causes execution
" " encloses text to be parsed by a machine
/* */ encloses comments for humans
< > encloses a TL1 named variable
\" \" encloses a description of a condition
... indicates the line in a response can be repeated as required
Note: You can enter either uppercase, lowercase, or a mixture of
both, but upper and lower case cannot be mixed within a parameter
block.
