LP MDU ONTs support the following features:
• 1490 nm wavelength downstream, 1310 nm wavelength upstream, and optional
1550 nm downstream for RF video overlay
• an FSAN compliant 12 living unit GPON ONT
• 12 GE ports and 24 POTS ports (GE LP MDU ONT only)
• 12 VDSL2 (30 MHz) ports and 24 POTS ports (VDSL LP MDU only)
• two GMII ports are supported by the MAC
• one RF video coaxial port
• one PON interface capable of 1.244 Gb/s upstream and 2.488 Gb/s downstream
line rates as per G.984.3
• 1000 ft (305 m) target loop length
• locally powered (-48V) with battery backup
• Class 1 power wiring support
• Class 2 alarm wiring support
• each VDSL port uses up to 4 Alloc-IDs and 8 GEM Port-IDs
• a PON interface that supports a sustained link-layer throughput of 1.2 Gb/s
downstream and upstream simultaneously
• customer demarcation interfaces are external to the MDU enclosure
• an advanced encryption system (AES) as per G.984.3 for secured
communications over the GPON
• deployment scenarios are wall mounting, 19”/23”data rack mounting, and cabinet
mounting
• button on the front panel (but also accessible from a network manager) that
activates a script for collecting relevant data and transferring it into a reserved
area of flash memory
• maximum of 8 Cos per GE port (per 802.1 p mapping)
• Lifetime POTS service using single Alloc-ID and two Port-IDs per Service
Provider (one GEM port-ID for bearer traffic and another for Signaling/Control)
O-00240V-A MDU outdoor ONT
The O-00240V-A MDU outdoor ONT terminates GPON layer services and is
suitable for multi dwelling unit (MDU) applications. The MDU ONT supports
VDSL2 interfaces that are terminated at the customer’s premises using a VDSL2
modem.
