b Set the sample tubes in ports 1 to 3 of the calibration rack.
• Use any of the ports 1 to 3.
• Set barcodes in any order.
5 Load the calibration rack onto the sampler.

To read the standard values from the calibration information barcodes:
Skip to step 7.
To enter the standard values from the operator panel:
Go to step 6.

NOTE:
When the “sample ID auto-reading function” is turned off, set sample tubes with the barcode labels facing to
the main body of the instrument so that barcodes are read correctly.
IMPORTANT:
Check again to make sure that the dummy samples and
standard solutions are set in the proper ports. Calibration
cannot be performed if the samples and solutions are set in
the wrong ports.
Ports 1 to 3: Calibration information barcode (when needed)
Ports 4 to 6: Dummy sample (whole blood)
Port 7: Low solution for the Fast mode
Port 8: High solution for the Fast mode
Port 9: Low solution for the Variant mode
Port 10: High solution for the Variant mode
REFERENCE:
If sample rack transportation is set to “loop transportation”:
Load the empty start rack and then calibration rack onto the sampler.
To perform HbA1c control measurements following calibration:
Load the calibration rack and then control rack onto the sampler.
* For the control rack to use, see “2.7. HbA1c Control Measurement” on page 2-33.
To perform normal measurement following calibration:
Load the calibration rack and then normal racks onto the sampler.
To perform HbA1c calibration following normal measurements:
Load the normal racks and then calibration rack onto the sampler.
