4.3.3.4.3 Telescopic lower links and twin crossbar
Upon request tractors “BELARUS-82.3” can be completed with reinforced RLL with
telescopic lower links with joints or grips of category 2, which are mounted on axis Ø 35
mm instead of axis Ø 32 mm (on tractors “BELARUS-82.3” additional axes are also Ø 35
mm). If necessary, the length of the telescopic buckles can be adjusted stepwise in the
limits ± 80 mm from the middle position (attained lengths of links are 805 mm, 885 mm,
965 mm), in this case lifting capacity of the RLL will change (805 mm maximum lifting
capacity, 965 mmleast lifting capacity). For driven agricultural machines, when changing
the length of the lower links, it is necessary to check the length of the cardan shaft for
compliance with paragraphs 9 and 10 of subsection 4.9 "Peculiarities of application of PTO
shafts and cardan shafts".
To set the required length of the lower link, do the following:
- unscrew nut 3 (Figure 4.3.12) and take out eye-lug 2;
- shift rear end 4 of the telescopic link into the required position, mount the eye-lug in the
corresponding hole and screw the nut;
- set the required length of the second link in the same way.
Eye-lugs 2 shall be mounted only on the holes, which are shown in Figure 4.3.12.
1 front end of the telescopic link; 2 eye-lug; 3 nut; 4 rear end of the telescopic link
with joint; 5 end piece of the crossbar with category 2 grip; 6 joint; 7 tip of twin crossbar;
8 twin crossbar; 9 kingpin.

Note in Figure 4.3.12 shows the position of the telescopic links for a length of
885 mm
For operation with trailed agricultural machines with telescopic lower links with joints
or grips of category 2, a twin crossbar 8 (Figure 4.3.12) with kingpin 9 is supplied upon re-
quest. In this case, its end pieces 7 are mounted instead of links rear ends with joints 4 or
telescopic lower links rear ends with grip 2 of category 5 (the eye-lug is mounted on the
middle holes of end pieces 7 of the twin crossbar). The distance from the end of the PTO to
the kingpin (hitch point) in this complete set will make 470 mm. If necessary, this distance
can be adjusted stepwise in the range ± 80 mm from the middle position by changing the
length of telescopic links.
Note Basic parameters and characteristics of the twin crossbar are presented in
subsection 4.4 “Tow hitches”.
