6.14 Possible engine failures and instructions for troubleshooting
The list of possible failures of the D-243 S2 engine and instructions for troubleshoot-
ing are given in table 6.14.1.

Eliminate air leaks in the fuel system

reach the stop
Adjust the fuel pump control rods
Cartridge of the fine fuel filter is

Replace the fine fuel filter cartridge
Identify faulty injectors, wash and adjust

Engine air cleaner is clogged
Carry out air cleaner maintenance

Identify the faulty injector, wash or replace the at-
omizer, adjust the injector
