3.2.4 Tractor stop
To stop the tractor do the following:
- decrease engine speed;
- fully depress the clutch pedal;
- set gear shifting lever in neutral position;
- release the clutch pedal;
- stop the tractor by means of service brakes;
- engage the parking brake.
ATTENTION: FOR TRACTOR EMERGENCY STOP, SHARPLY PRESS THE
CLUTCH AND BRAKE PEDALS TOGETHER!
3.2.5 Engine stop
ATTENTION: BEFORE STOPPING THE ENGINE, MOVE DOWN THE MOUNTED
IMPLEMENTS UNTIL THEY REACH GROUND, IF THEY ARE RAISED. LET THE EN-
GINE RUN AT (1000±100) RPM FOR 3 TO 5 MINUTES. THIS WILL ALLOW REDUCING
ENGINE COOLANT TEMPERATURE!
To stop the engine do the following:
- disengage the rear PTO by setting the switch 7 (Figure 2.12.1) in position "Off" (the
lower one on the key), set the handle 28 (Figure 2.1.1) of shifting the rear PTO ground-
speed to continuous drive (if the continuous drive is on) in position "neutral";
- lower the implement to the ground;
- shift the hydraulic lift linkage distributor control lever into neutral position;
- turn the air conditioner off;
- pull engine stop handle;
- switch the control handle of the draft regulator (if any) into the neutral position;
- turn the key of the starter and instruments switch from the position “I” into the position “0”;
- in case the rear PTO continuous drive is on, set lever 28 (Figure 2.1.1) changing the
rear PTO from continuous to ground-speed drive into “Neutral” position;
- deactivate the AB. Here, both annunciators of AB activation/deactivation on the in-
strument board shall turn off.
ATTENTION: FOR EMERGENCY SHUTDOWN OF THE ENGINE, PULL THE EN-
GINE STOP HANDLE!
3.2.6 Leaving the tractor
Leaving the tractor is carried out through the cab left door, except for emergency
situations. Rules on leaving the tractor at emergency situations are given in para-
graph 3.5.3 of subsection 3.5 “Emergency actions.”
When leaving the tractor, make sure that all operations, listed in subsection 3.2.5
“Engine stop” have been performed and that lift linkages of the tractor and of coupled im-
plements have been lowered.
3.2.7 PTO use
The rules of engagement and disengagement of rear power take off shaft are de-
scribed in subsection 2.12.2 “Rear power take-off shaft control” and in subsection 2.13
“Additional information on rear power take-off shaft control”.
