4.12 Finding of total weight, loads on the front and rear axles, tire bearing ca-
pacity and required minimum ballast
Amount of load on the tractor axles in structure of MTU may be found by means of
direct weighing on vehicle scales of the corresponding carrying capacity.
Tractor weighing allows considering with accuracy weight distribution of MTU weight
between the axles of your tractor configuration in different operating conditions: “main op-
eration and “transportation”. When determining loads on the tractor axles, the weight of
the technological load, for example weight of seeds for a seeder, shall be taken into ac-
count.
For finding the load on the tractor front or rear axle by means of weighing on vehicle
scales, it is necessary to place the measured axle’s wheels of the tractor on a weighing
platform, and other axle wheels shall be kept out of the weighing area on the same level
with the platform. Herewith the RLL shall be arranged as shown in clause 3.2.8.2.
The following formula is used for load determination
, where
- Т is load, N;
- M is mass, kg, and
- g=9.8 is gravity acceleration, m/s

Calculation of load on the tractor front axle

ed to the tractor front axle, kg;

to the tractor rear axle, kg.
