6.8 Possible failures of front driving axle, tires and instructions for trouble-
shooting
6.8.1 Possible failures of FDA and instructions for troubleshooting
The list of possible failures of the front driving axle and instructions for troubleshoot-
ing are given in table 6.8.1.
Table 6.8.1
Failure,
external manifestation, cause
Troubleshooting
Increased wear and delaminating of front tires
Front wheel alignment is misad-
justed
Adjust alignment of front wheels as specified in
section 5 “Maintenance”
Noncompliance of air pressure in
tires with the recommended stand-
ards
Adjust air pressure in tires in accordance with sub-
section 3.2.8 “
Selection of optimal inner pressure
in tires depending on operational conditions and
load on tractor axles, instructions for use of tires”
Front axle is forcedly engaged
constantly
Do not use the mode “FDA engaged” constantly. If
the FDA is engaged constantly due to failures in
FDA control, eliminate the failures.
Drive clutch fails to transmit torque
No pressure in clutch booster
Disassemble the distributor, rinse the housing and
the spool
Electrical part of the system is out
of order
Identify and eliminate the failure in the ECS of FDA
control
Insufficient value of transferred torque
Low pressure in transmission hy-
draulic system
Adjust pressure in transmission hydraulic system in
the range from 1.1 to 1.2 MPa
Increased leakage in hydraulic
system of drive control:
-
wear of sealing rings of piston
and drum;
- wear of adjacent surfaces: cage –
drum hub, drum – piston;
Replace the rings
Replace the worn-out parts
Replace the worn-out parts
The drive fails to operate in automatic mode
Improper adjustment of switch of
FDA drive automatic engagement
sensor
Adjust the switch of sensor of FDA drive automatic
engagement
Increased noise of the main gear group
Play in the gear bearings
Improper adjustment of side clear-
ance in the main gear pair of cen-
tral reduction gear group
Adjust the side clearance in the main pair of central
reduction gear group
