- check and if necessary adjust free movement of the clutch pedal, of the working
and parking brakes control and brake valve drive of pneumatic system;
- Check and, if necessary, adjust the fan belt tension and air conditioner compres-
sor drive belt tension;
- drain oil from transmission. Then clean the magnet traps of the magnetic filter, re-
place the paper filter element of the filter and clean the annular permanent magnet. Fill
transmission with new oil;
- check lubrication in all assembly units according to clause 3 of table 5.8.1. Where
required lubricate or replace the grease;
- check and if necessary restore air-tightness of the air cleaner and inlet line;
- control the operation of engine, steering, brakes, controls, lighting and warning
systems;
3.5 Emergency actions
3.5.1 For emergency tractor stop, sharply depress clutch and brake pedals simulta-
neously.
3.5.2 For emergency engine stop, pull the engine stop handle.
3.5.3. In case of an accident, immediately stop the engine, brake the tractor, deacti-
vate accumulator battery and get off the tractor through any emergency exit by opening left
or right cab door, depending on the tractor position, or the rear window. If it is not possible
to open the emergency exits, break the front window, or the rear window, or one of the
side windows with a heavy object at hand and leave the tractor cab.
Note – Emergency exit allocation is given in subsection 2.18 “Cab locks and han-
dles”.
3.5.4 In case the engine crankshaft speeds up excessively, kill the engine and
brake the tractor immediately.
3.5.5 In case of fire or smoke, stop the engine, brake the tractor, turn off the accu-
mulator battery disconnect switch. Use a dry-powder fire extinguisher or pour some sand
onto the fire, cover with tarpaulin, sackcloth or other dense cloth to liquidate the fire. Do
not pour water over burning fuel and oil.
