5.4.2 Maintenance service every 125 hours of operation (MS-1)
5.4.2.1 General guidelines
Perform the above operations and the operations, listed in this subsection 5.4.2.
5.4.2.2 Operation 11. Check of tightening of wheel retaining threaded joints
Check torqueing of wheel threaded joints shall be carried out one time along with
first STM (after 8-10 hours of operation), which is carried out by a customer, and then in
every 125 hours of operation.
Check tightening of wheel retaining nuts and hub bolt nuts, and, if necessary, tight-
en them up:
- tightening torque for bolts 2 (figure 5.4.10) of the rear wheel terminal hubs shall
make 300 to 400 Nm (four bolts for each hub). If taper hubs are installed, then the tighten-
ing torque for bolts 4 of the taper hubs shall be 360 to 450 Nm;
- tightening torque for nuts 3 that attach rear wheels to the hubs shall be from 300 to
350 Nm;
- tightening torque for nuts 1 that attach front wheels to FDA reduction gear flanges
shall be from 200 to 250 Nm;
- tightening torque for nuts 5 that attach front wheel disks to the rim brackets shall
be from 180 to 240 Nm.
1 nuts attach front wheels to FDA reduction gear flanges; 2 bolt for fastening
rear wheel terminal hubs; 3 nut to attach rear wheels to hubs; 4 bolt for fastening rear
wheel taper hubs; 5 nut to attach front wheel disks to rim brackets.
