6.13 Possible failures of air-ventilation, cab heating and air conditioning sys-
tem and instructions for troubleshooting
List of possible failures of air-ventilation, cab heating and air conditioning system and
guidelines for troubleshooting are given in Tables 6.13.1 and 6.13.2.
Table 6.13.1 – Possible failures of cab heating system and guidelines for troubleshooting
Failure,
external manifestation, cause
Troubleshooting
Warm air is not supplied into the cab
Coolant is not circulated through the
heating unit:
- heater valve is shut off
- heater fan is out of order
Open the heater valve
Eliminate the fan failure, check the fan actuation electric
circuit according to the electrical diagram for the electri-

Troubleshooting
Compressor electromagnetic coupling fails to respond (no metallic click as you turn
temperature regulator)
Electric equipment failure
By means of a tester or a multimeter, check the op-
erability of a pressure sensor unit, the
outputs (red and pink wires) shall have continuity be-
tween them. Check up the operability of electric cir-
cuit connections from the compressor coupling to the
air conditioner control console according to the elec-
Coolant leakage took place
Detect the coolant leak point.
Only trained personnel using special equipment is
allowed to detect the leak point, replace hoses and
air conditioner components
Non-operable electric motor of conditioner fan
Electric equipment failure
Check up the operability of the corresponding fuse lo-
cated in the switching unit. Replace if it is faulty.
If the fuse is sound, check by means of a test-lamp the
availability of power supply to the electric motor of the
air conditioner fan, when the switch has been turned, as
well as the availability of "ground" on the electric motor.
If electric circuits are sound
, but there is lack of power
supply to the electric motor of the
air conditioner fan,
replace the switch.
When turning air conditioner on in cooling mode, warm air comes into cab
Sealing part of heater valve is bro-
ken
Condensate or coolant leakage from cab ventilation compartment
Air conditioner drainage tubes are
contaminated
Clean the air conditioner drainage tubes, as specified in
clause 5.4.1.9 “Operation 8. Inspection of air condi-
tione
r hose fixation. Checking/cleaning A/C drain
pipes”
Disruption of heater tubes
Replace the climatic unit of the conditioner
