3. The air pressure according to the pressure gauge attached to the connecting
head must be at least 0.77 MPa. Move the interlocked brake pedals to maximum travel.
The pressure should drop to zero. Release the brake pedals. Engage the parking brake by
moving the handle to the maximum value. The pressure should drop to zero. If the pres-
sure on the pressure gauge connected to the connecting head does not correspond to the
indicated ones, then perform the following operations:
- check the length of rod 1 (Figure 4.7.3) assembled;
- the length of the rod should ensure its free (without tension) connection to lever 7
with pin 6. If necessary, adjust by turning rod end 5.
4. Check and, if necessary, adjust the compression of spring 4 to a size between 36
and 38 mm by turning nuts 3 and lock them. Check the operation of the brake valve ac-
cording to clause No. 3.
5. If the air pressure according to the pressure gauge attached to the connecting
head has not reached the required value, replace brake valve 2.
ATTENTION: WITH A FUNCTIONAL BRAKE VALVE 2 (FIGURE 4.7.3) AND A
CORRECTLY ADJUSTED SINGLE-LINE BRAKE ACTUATOR THE PRESSURE ON THE
PRESSURE GAUGE ATTACHED TO THE CONNECTING HEAD WITH A BLACK COV-
ER SHALL DROP TO ZERO AS YOU HAVE MOVED THE INTERLOCKED BRAKE PED-
ALS TO MAXIMUM TRAVEL OR ENGAGED THE PARKING BRAKE FULLY!
