5.4.1.4 Operation 3. Check of oil level in transmission
To check oil level in transmission proceed as follows:
- place the tractor on a flat surface;
- check oil level on oil indicator 1 (fig.5.4.3) which is located on the left side of gear-
box 2;
- normal operational oil level shall be between the higher and the lower marks of oil
indicator 1 (between the lower and the upper recesses of the oil indicator);
- if necessary, remove plug 3 on the upper cover of gearbox 4 and refill oil to the
proper level (in order to get access to oil filler plug 3, unscrew five bolts and remove floor cover
under your feet);
- put back plug 3 and the floor cover.

5.4.1.5 Operation 4. Check of oil level in the conjoint tank of HLL and HSC
Before checking the oil level place the tractor on a flat horizontal ground. Lower the RLL
links into lowermost position, stop the engine and engage the parking brake.
Carry out visual inspection of oil level according to oil-level pointer 2 (Figure 5.4.4) on
the tank. The level shall stay between “O” and “П” marks of the oil level gauge. When neces-
sary top up the oil to the “П” mark through an oil filler opening, to do this screw plug 2 out.
When tractor is coupled with the machines requiring increased oil takeoff, refill the oil
up to mark “C” of the oil-level pointer with the rods of the hydraulic cylinders of the machine
being retracted.

ATTENTION: OIL LEVEL CHECK OPERATIONS IN THE HLL TANK SHALL BE CAR-
RIED OUT ONLY WITH THE RODS OF THE RLL HYDRAULIC CYLINDERS AND OF THE
CYLINDERS OF THE MACHINES COUPLED WITH THE TRACTOR REING RETRACTED!
