Example Application in binary format:
128 bytes are reserved in the data element, however, only 78 bytes are written into the element. The
unused bytes are filled with 00Hex.
The result of a tightening application is made up of the overall result (application result) and the results
of the participating tightening channels (tightening position result). The communication unit continually
writes the results data to the data elements of the partner controller.
The start address of the tightening position results is determined as follows:
One tightening position result is not split to two data elements. If a complete tightening position result
no longer fits into a started data element, the entire tightening position result is written to the following
data element. All results of a tightening application are written to consecutive data elements.
Example: The start address of each tightening position result is located directly after the area reserved
by the previous result.
Tightening application with 24 channels,
data format binary numbers, incl. set values.
The data quantity is calculated as follows:
1 x 128 bytes (tightening application result)
+ 24 x 64 bytes (tightening position results)
= 1664 bytes
Thus, 4 data elements (512 bytes each) are required. The structure of the data elements is shown in
Table 6–42.

2 Reserved memory areas cannot be occupied by results from other tightening applications/single-channel
tightenings. However, they are also not transferred to the partner controller (in Example 1, only 128 bytes are
transferred from data element +3).
