6.8.4 Connecting cables
Proceed as described in chapter 3.6.
6.8.5 Inserting beamsplitter
Proceed as described in chapter 3.8.
6.8.6 Checking laser signals
Switch on the main power supply. Then, proceed as described in chapter 6.2.
If the two laser signal amplitudes are significantly lower than before, the fiber-coupling
head should be re-adjusted (see chapter
6.9).
7 Fasten the lock nut of the fiber cable fixture,
located on the laser panel of the mobile elec
-
tronics unit.
8 • Remove the protective cover from the ferrule
at the other fiber end.
• Carefully rotate the knurled screw head of
the fiber plug clockwise to fasten it to the
collimator lens. Make sure that the key at the
fiber plug matches the notch of the recepta
-
cle.
9 Close the cable support. Put the fixture down-
wards.
