IFS 125M User Manual Bruker Optik GmbH
Connection Ports 10
10.3.2 Timing
Image Signal assignment
Timing details of the signals at the TEST and UIO
ports
Blue: LASA (Laser A) [TEST port]
Olive: LASXAF (Digitized Laser A)
[TEST port]
Green: XAOUT (Sampling points) [UIO
port]
Magenta: TKDAM (Take data) [UIO port]
i The falling edge of XAOUT is delayed by
approx. 250 ns, relative to the corre-
sponding edge of LASXAF.
i Do not connect any external circuit to the
TEST port during measurements. Other-
wise, picked up noise and hum may
deteriorate the precision of the detection
of the laser zero crossings.
The rate of XAOUT is affected by the acqui-
sition bandwidth. In the left image, the low
folding limit is 0 and the high folding limit is
15798, so that every laser zero crossing is
used for sampling.
If the high folding limit were 3949, only
every fourth laser zero crossing would gen
-
erate an XAOUT pulse.
However, the XAOUT signal does not con-
sider the PLL. There will be still only one
XAOUT pulse per laser zero crossing at a
high folding limit of 63192.
Timing detail of data acquisition in forward mode,
when TKDAM becomes active
Magenta: TKDAM (Take data)
Green: XAOUT (Sampling points)
Blue: UDQENA (Data acquisition enable)
Olive: FWD (Forward)
