6.4 Replacing window
6 • Click the OPUS status light on the lower
right end of the interface to reset the source
operating hour meter. The Instrument Status
window opens.
• Click the source icon and then the Service
Info button. The Source diagnostics page
opens.
• Click the Reset button.
• Close the HTML view.

In case of too much dirt, cracking and
haze
Tools required: Window flange, Allen key
Handling instructions: • Handle with great care as windows are
very fragile and easily crack under the
influence of mechanical pressure.
• Do not touch the window surface to
avoid contaminations which can
decrease the infrared transparency.
• Avoid generating dust when the window
has been cracked.
• Observe the safety instructions on the
window packaging.
Non-observance of safety instruc-
tions on packaging:
Serious health problems or even death.
➣ Never clean the windows.
➣ Observe the safety instructions.
Window material used: • MIR: KBr
• NIR/VIS/UV: Quartz or CaF
