7.2.2 Spectrometer problems indicated by diagnostics pages of hardware
components
To perform fault diagnostics for a particular hardware component proceed as follows:
1. On the Instrument Status dialog, click the icon which indicates an error or warning.
➣The Instrument Status Message dialog opens.
2. Click the Service Info button.
➣The firmware diagnostics page of the respective spectrometer hardware compo-
nent opens. This page contains all relevant information about the current operat-
ing state of the respective hardware component.

You can send the diagnostics pages of all hardware spectrometer components as full
report to Bruker service for remote fault diagnostics. Use the following e-mail address:
info@brukeroptics.com
For more details on the diagnostics pages refer to chapter 8.3.2 et seq.
If the detector is not cooled (Detector not ready error message), data acquisition can
nevertheless be tested by sending the direct command: TRW=1. In that case a triangular
wave signal is recorded instead of the digitized detector signal. To return to normal oper

ation, send the direct command: TRW=0
