9.1 Configuration types
9.1.1 General rules
• All IP addresses must be unique within a given network. Never assign the same
IP address, e.g. to the spectrometer and the computer.
• The spectrometer can only be configured using static IP addresses (no DHCP
capability).
• The IP addresses of the spectrometer and the PC must be within the same sub-
net, as long as no gateway is used.
9.1.2 Connecting spectrometer to a stand-alone PC (standard)
1. Connect one end of the supplied cross-over data cable to the ETH port on the
spectrometer rear side.
