9.1 Configuration types
9.1.1 General rules
All IP addresses must be unique within a given network. Never assign the same
IP address, e.g. to the spectrometer and the computer.
The spectrometer can only be configured using static IP addresses (no DHCP
capability).
The IP addresses of the spectrometer and the PC must be within the same sub-
net, as long as no gateway is used.
9.1.2 Connecting spectrometer to a stand-alone PC (standard)
1. Connect one end of the supplied cross-over data cable to the ETH port on the
spectrometer rear side.
