6.5.2 Evacuating procedure
The following cross-section of the adapter aims to better illustrate the evacuating proce-
dure.

Before evacuating the dewar, the dewar must not contain any more liquid nitrogen. The
dewar temperature must be about room temperature (maximum 60°C).
Evacuating the dewar takes several hours. Therefore, it is recommended to evacuate
the dewar over night. The final pressure in the dewar has to be less than 10
-5
hPa.
