6.8.2 Remounting complete scanning arm
1 Rotate the supporting feet of the detector and
interferometer block downwards until the con
-
sole is in horizontal position.
➣ The supporting feet are located on the
bottom side of the detector and
interferometer block.

To support the scanning arm it is advisable to
push a piece of wood beneath the scanning
arm, on the front side.
3 Insert the scanner into the detector and interferometer block. Use the large
handles at the side.
➣ Make sure that the scanner arm does not get jammed.
➣ To check whether the scanner is completely pushed towards the detec-
tor and interferometer block look at the small viewing window.
➣ The window shows that the scanning arm is correctly positioned. There
must only be a small gap (<2
mm).
4 Fasten the 5 fixing screws of the scanner, which are located on different
positions (see chapter
6.7.5).
Fixing screws not greased.
Risk of jam.
➣ Always grease the fixing screws when remounted again.
5 • Detach the clamp (chapter 6.7.2) from the scanner.
• Loosen the fixing screw of the scanner.
