Component Definition
A ACTIVE • Green: source and laser controller is running
• Black: controller is not running
LASER • Green: laser on and stabilized
• Flashing green: laser is neither stabilized nor connected
• Black: laser off
NIR • Green: NIR source is on
• Flashing green: NIR source is broken or not connected
• Black: NIR source is off
MIR • Green: MIR source is on
• Flashing green: MIR source is broken or not connected
• Black: MIR source is off
B ICON port This port is connected to the ICON connector at the
flange panel. It transfers all control signals required for
the source and power control.
C SOURCES port The sources port is used to establish the connection to
the sources.
D OMOT port The OMOT port controls the outer scanner motor. It is
connected to the last scanner compartment. The OMOT
abbreviation means Outer Motor.
E SCE LED If the SCE LED is OFF, the spectrometer status is OK.
The SCE LED continuously lights if one of the following
problems occurred:
• Front or back end switch has been activated.
• Cord has been torn.
• Beamsplitter door is open.
• Outer encoder is not adjusted.
• Light switches are not connected.
• Laser is not ready.
SY LED The yellow SY LED is reserved for future use.
OMO LED The OMO LED indicates the operating status of the outer
scanner motor. If the LED lights green, the outer motor is
powered and the scanner performs in the long-scan
mode. If the LED is off, the outer motor stops.
F LASER port The LASER port supplies power and control signals to the
HeNe laser, which is located on the laser panel.
G UIO port The user I/O port provides several timing-related TTL sig-
nals (chapter 10.3). The UIO abbreviation means User
Input/Output.
