Operation
z Confirm the mode change. The ManSpont
screen is activated. After the mode change is
confirmed, the »ManSpont« LED switches from
blinking to constantly on and the waveform is
restored.
The ManSpont screen allows the user to adjust two
parameters: Apnea Pressure alarm ON/OFF (see
page 129) and Volume alarms ON/OFF (see
page 127). Pressing the »ON/OFF« soft key tog-
gles the corresponding alarm between ON and
OFF.
For Manual Ventilation:
z Rotate the APL valve adjustment knob to the
desired pressure. Clockwise rotation increases
the pressure, and counterclockwise rotation
decreases the pressure.
NOTE
In ManSpont mode, the apnea volume timer count-
down for caution alarms changes from 15 seconds
to 30 seconds, and for warning alarms from
30 seconds to 60 seconds.
