Feature Description
Baudrate The Baudrate feature is used to set the communication speed.
• 1200 bps
• 2400 bps
• 4800 bps
• 9600 bps
• 19200 bps
The new Baudrate value will take effect immediately.
NOTE: If the Baudrate is changed, it will take a few button presses or
joystick movements before the JCU is in sync again.
Device ID The Device ID feature is used to set the device ID:
• 01-31
NOTE: If the 5x0 protocol (see the Protocol feature below) is selected,
the Device ID feature is disabled.
Protocol The Protocol feature is used to select the type of communication protocol:
• 5x0
• TASS
• Optional protocols, such as PELCO D, are available on request.
The new protocol setting will take effect immediately.
NOTE: If the protocol is changed, it will take a few button presses or
joystick movements before the JCU is in sync again.
NOTE: As 5x0 is a point-to-point protocol, no Device ID can be
selected.
Change password The Change password feature is used to enter a password or change the
existing password for the Setup – Maintenance dialog box.
• Yes: Opens the New password or Change password dialog box, see
section 7.6.1.6.2 and 7.6.1.6.3.
• No: No action.
