10.3.7.4 SNMP security
The SNMP security screen is where you define the SNMP communities that will have access
to the Power+ SA, and whether that access will be “read only” (requests for data – a “read-
only”) or “read-write” (includes the ability to modify G4 settings).
You also have the capability of limiting the IP addresses from which the G4 will accept
SNMP packets. If the IP address has four segments of zero, this means that all users in the
community will have the designated access.

10.3.7.5 SNMP trap targets
An SNMP trap is a destination to which the G4 will send alarm notifications using the SNMP
protocol. For each destination, an IP address and a port must be specified.
